摘要：In the cultural and historical development of human beings,numbers play a significant role,especially auspicious numbe rs,reflecting the culture of a nation.Due to the influence of religious beliefs,folklore and fairy tales,and socio-cultural factors,English auspicious numbers have its own unique connotation.This paper makes a study of English auspicious numbers and its influencing factors,in order to reduce pragmatic failures and ensure the smooth progress of cross-cultural communication.
