摘要：Teaching Context:About the teaching content:The center topic of this unit is “earthquake”, the content includes “the sleepless night of Tangshan, reconstruction after the earthquake in Tangshan, the basic knowledge of earthquake and how to save oneself and help others when suddenly encountered a disaster. As the beginning of this unit, this lesson targets at presenting: 1. Words and phrases about the earthquake (earthquake, burst, in ruins, destroy, disaster, rise and fall, jump out of, electricity, fresh water);2. Details of the text (before the earthquake, during the earthquake, after the earthquake);3. A short article about showing students’ love to their parents, relatives, friends with the sentences of “I want to say I love you to ..., because...”and then speak it out. About the target students:The target students are the first-grade students of senior high school, whose ages are from 15 to 16. The following information and knowledge about these learners have been taken into consideration in lesson planning.
