摘要:The article deals with some problems concerning the delimination of individual freedom in Ibsen's dramas with a special focus on the period after his two philosophical youth dramas Brand and Peer Gynt, hereby emphasising the well known conflicts between will and determination, wish and abilities, rebellion and submission etc. Ibsen deals with this basic conflicts in the realms of marriage, profession and public life. The article intend to reconstruct important parts of the philosophical and socio-cultural context in which the problems of confined freedom are dealt with.
